About this Cook
I started cooking very early in my mom's big country kitchen. At the age of 12 I could prepare a full meal by myself. I love cooking and baking and dream of becoming a pastry chef someday.
My favorite things to cook
I like to make pastries and pies and special dinners. My favorite is to make desserts that other people appreciate.
My cooking triumphs
I have worked with biscuits until I finally came up with the fluffiest ones I could. My triumph was in discovering that they need to be treated like a pie crust. Very little handling brings out the best in your biscuits.
My cooking tragedies
I once added 1/4c. of baking soda to a gingerbread recipe instead of a 1/4 tsp. It wasn't noticable until you ate one and started burping immediately after.

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies
We love the taste of these cookies! I was looking for a twist on the traditional chocolate chip cookies and this one is definitely a keeper. I used vanilla pudding and I think that we will try chocolate or butterscotch too. They are a big hit with my children.
