I work at the cooking school of the most amazing place called Jungle Jim's International Market. I've been an assistant there for 10 years. One of my favorite things to do is create menus.
My favorite things to cook
I love to grill (I have 5 grills). I also enjoy making party foods/ appetizers/theme foods. I have fun going to my friends house (with their permission); opening the fridge and just creating from whatever they have.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Every Sunday when I was growing up my family went to my grandparents where we all gathered for a spaghetti dinner. I don't always do this, but when I do; for some reason I feel like my world is more balanced.
My cooking triumphs
Hard to say since I work at a cooking school. But so many people always request my homemade spaghetti sauce. My grandparents had pasted away and I had to re-create it.
My cooking tragedies
The time I put chicken bouillon cubes in my home-made chicken soup and used chicken stock on top of that for my liquid. Let's just say "yuck" to be polite.
