About this Cook
If I tell you I must kill you.
My favorite things to cook
Home-made rolls! I love baking things from scratch. Creamed peas, which in and of itself is not such a grand thing but I am crazy about them (with mashed potatoes of course)plus making them brings back fond memories of cooking Thanksgiving dinner with my mom who is no longer with us.
My cooking tragedies
My first (and only) attempt at making balawa resulted in what I would call a balawa "brick". I learned the hard way what overcooking does to sugar and water.

Basic Flaky Pie Crust
This is the easiest to make most delicious pie crust I have ever had in my mouth. Can I get a witness?!

Fresh Rhubarb Pie
I'd never made (or eaten) a rhubarb pie until now and I am oh so stoked I chose this recipe. My boyfriend, who is a huge rhubarb pie fan, thought it was delicious...pie was history the next day. Thank you so much for this recipe! This is definitely a keeper. *I did use frozen rhubarb and I also forgot to add the butter but the pie was absolutely scrumptious without the buttah*

Nanna's Banana Bread
Oh my! This recipe is pure banana bread goodness. I did not have any buttermilk so I just used the 2% milk I had on hand--it's late night and I was desperate. This is THE best banana bread I have ever had. This one is a definite keeper. I am going to gather all of my other banana bread recipes, set them alight and dance around them. Thank you soooooooo much for sharing this!
