Day 1 as a "supporting member" that is!!!! :o)

I spend most of my free time at work cruising this site and I can honestly say that I have yet to get bored with doing so!!! :o)

Besides what's on my profile, a few things about me. I do NOT want to turn 40 this year and I'm in complete denial! I didn't sign up for this getting older at all!!!!

I am in school for nursing. I just finished the first semester with a B. I'm quite happy with that. As one of my classmates says "C's get degrees". I'm already ahead of the game then! I've been going to this 2 year college for almost 5 years now. LOL. I started out going for medical assistant and just kept going from there. I attained my associates over a year ago and had been waiting to get into the program. I spent one year taking BS classes waiting and I don't mean Bachelor of Science.... more like boy cow poo? Anyway..... 1 1/2 years to go! I'm still going after that, but that's when it gets expensive. Going on for the real BS! BSN to be exact. Who knows where I'll stop! Probably right after my husband says ENOUGH ALREADY!!! :o)

Anyway... that's me for now.

Welcome Michele! I was distracted when I turned 40, as I was 8 months pregnant - totally took my mind off the big day! I also live with a picky eater... picky as in non-adventurous - it can be a challenge sometime!

About Me
I am a 39 year old fat girl from Pennsylvania. I was born hungry and have had a love/hate relationship with food from the get go! I love it and I hate that I love it so much!!!! I am happily married to a picky eater, so my challenges are great in the kitchen.
My favorite things to cook
My FAVORITE thing to cook? Toss up between 2 things... THANKSGIVING - The whole She-bang and PARTY FOOD!!!!!!
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mother is originally from Luxembourg so a lot of what I grew up with was influenced by her home country, France and Germany.
My cooking triumphs
I couldn't make fried chicken for the LONGEST TIME!!!! I finally, thanks to my coworkers, took two of their recipes and adapted it to the BEST recipe to make breaded chicken breast for chicken parm! YUM!!!! :)
My cooking tragedies
Ohhhhh I have had MANY a failed experiment in cooking, but you can't learn if you don't try! Baking (like dessert baking) is not my forte and never laid claim to try!
