Beef Tips and Noodles

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2009
This was a little bland, but could be great with some help. I suggest using salt and pepper on the noodles whilel boiling them. I served everyone's bowl with a scoop of sour cream. This added a lot of flavoring.

Coconut Poke Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2009
This was awesome and easy. I did like others suggested and warmed the condensed milk and cream of coconut. Make sure to pour slowly over cake so it has time to soak into the holes. I love coconut flavoring, but I do not like the texture of coconut so I left off the coconut flakes. Was still great. This is definintely a keeper!

Not sure why the recipes calls for dijon musturd. It should call for regular yellow mustard.

Double Layer Pumpkin Cheesecake

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2006
This was even better than I was expecting. It tasted great and was extremely easy. It deserves 6 stars. I did like others suggested and used 3/4 cup pumpkin pie filling instead of pumpkin puree. This allowed me to leave out the cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg. It turned out so good that noone remembered to put whipped topping on it.

Easy and Fast Cajun Chicken Caesar Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2006
This is a great recipe. I added croutons to mine. Next time I will double the amount of cajun seasoning and maybe add red onion. It's perfectly fine how it is though.

Pasta Con Broccoli

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2006
Excellent recipe. I made a couple minor changes. I used penne instead of fettucine noodles. Before adding the garlic and mushrooms to the sauce, I sauteed them in butter. I know this adds calories, but it also adds flavor. Don't forget to add the salt, pepper, and parmesian. It makes a BIG difference in the flavor. My only complaint is that the sauce was too thin. I mixed 1 TBSP. water, 1 TBSP cornstarch and added it to the sauce. This made a good consistency.

Baked Mushroom Thighs

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2006
The flavor of this recipe gets four stars. It was pretty good. I gave it an overall rating of five stars because it was so easy and cheap. I did not use the sauce but I think it would have made it better. This goes great over rice. I used large thighs and 45 minutes was not long enough. I turned the oven up to 400, peeled the skin back to expose the meat, and cooked for an additional 10 minutes.

This was jsut ok. The dumplings turned out pretty good, but the soupy part was less than what I had hoped for. I'll keep searching.

Sweet Balsamic Marinade

I had high hopes for this marinade, but my girlfriend and I were very disappointed. I used it to marinade chicken breast. The only thing I could taste on the end result was vinegar.

Hash Brown and Pork Chop Casserole

This was ok. It could be really good if it was spiced up. I will try again adding green peppers, mushrooms, garlic, salt and pepper.

Grandma's Pork Chops in Mushroom Gravy

This is the best recipe yet from this site. I will definetly be making this again. I served over a bed of rice and made extra sauce to put on the rice. Fresh asparagus sauteed in butter also goes great with this recipe. I felt like I was dining in a fancy restaurant. Bravo!!

Slow Cooker Italian Beef for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2004
The flavor was great(a little salty). I didn't think this was sandwich meat though. While eating it, I was wishing I had added potatoes and carrots and just made a pot roast out of it. Before trying that I will probably make it again adding the onion and green peppers that others suggested. Maybe that will make it seem more like a sandwich.
