This recipe is very similar to one I have been using for the past year and I can no longer bring myself to make regular mashed potatoes. Don't be afraid of the dried oregano, especially if you are serving with an Italian dish! I sometimes substitute parmesan cheese for the oregano, and it is just as yummy! (I have also used this recipe base to make cheddar mashed potatoes by adding 1/4 of the garlic and substituting shredded cheddar for the romano)

This quick and easy recipe tasted fabulous. I actually made it in a casserole dish instead of in individual servings and it worked out nicely. A definite keeper!

I am usually not very fond of baked mac n cheese, but my husband loves it. Finally, I have found a recipe that was easy to make and delicious! I will definitely make it again. To make it even easier, I used real bacon bits. I added more than the equivalent of two bacon strips.
