Curry Chicken Salad

This is a great recipe but I always have to add much more mayo to get it to hold together. I like to eat this made as a sandwich, so maybe that's why I have to use more!! I really like curry so I add more of that, too!

Aargau Carrot Cake

As a reviewer said before me, it turned out really thin and I think tasteless. I lined the pan with waxed paper and it helped A LOT! The sides of the pan needed a can of elbow grease for it to come clean. I carefully followed the recipe....

Yummy! I wanted a great recipe that conained no raw eggs and this was it! A few cloves and a cinnamon stick to the sauce pan were all the changes I made. Oh, and I didn't have any rum or food coloring on hand. Thanks, Carolyn!

GRRRREAT! I use short grain rice, dark raisins, and less sugar. Turns out wonderful every time. Thanks!

Banana Bread V

We really like this recipe. I make it at least once a month. I've made some changes though. I use: 1 cup butter, 1/2cup white 1/2cup brown sugar, 1 tsp. cinnamon, 1 tsp. vanilla, 1 1/4cup bananas, 2 eggs and a little more salt. I like to wait till the next day to eat it because it seems more moist and tastier somehow.

Smoked Salmon Alfredo Sauce

This was really good! I think I'll use the tomato as a garnish instead of adding it at the end. The recipe didn't specify when to add it and I ended up picking out the skins before serving it. My mistake! Thanks for the great recipe!

Clark Gable Pancakes

I've been making this recipe for a while and every time they turn out wonderful. However, I found the exact recipe on the back of my baking powder can, minus the 1/4 cup sugar. From reading the reviews, it sounds like some people prefer the sugar and some people don't miss it.

Thai Curry Tofu

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2005
I carefully followed this recipe except when it came for the salt. I read the other reviews before making it and I omitted the 1/2 tsp. salt and didn't add the full 1 Tbs. seasoned salt. It turned out SO salty, I could barely eat it. Also, by frying the tofu it made the dish too oily (even after thoroughly draining and blotting it with paper towels). I won't make this again.

Cinnamon Bread I

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2004
I can't say enough good things about this recipe. It's the best cinnamon bread I've ever eaten. I took the advice from other reviews and mixed the dry and wet ingredients separately and also added an extra 1/2 tsp of cinnamon and 1 tsp of allspice. I used 1/2 white and 1/2 brown sugar instead off all white. I added some raisins, but they ended up on the bottom of the pan, which was okay b/c then they're easy to remove by people who don't care for them. Thanks for the great and easy recipe!
