About this Cook
I have learned a lot about cooking thanks to this site, and a little from my husband. Currently unable to work, so I've really been brushing up on my cooking skills. Husband loves it. :)
My favorite things to cook
I love cooking, but not baking too much. I love grilling, but have been without a grill for a little over a year now. My friends and family absolutely love my grilled bbq chicken. I like making pastas and just different creations.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Being from Nebraska, my mom used to always make home made runzas. I brought that with me to Canada and my husband quite enjoys them.
My cooking triumphs
I find my cooking triumphs are making things that are just unbelieveably good that it's hard to stop eating. hehehe
My cooking tragedies
I can't think of any! Though if you were to ask my husband he'd probably think of one.

Spinach Dip with Water Chestnuts
My co-worker gave me the exact recipe a long time ago, and I lost it. I stumpled upon this recipe and was thrilled! This is the BEST spinach dip ever, and I would not change a thing! Only thing that may be slightly different is that I always just have Hellmanns' Light Mayo on hand and just use that. I don't notice a difference! My family, friends, and I love this recipe!

Corn Dogs
I loved this recipe!! It took a while to make, but it was well worth it! My husband and I made them together, and froze whatever was left. They looked just like what you get from the store, but tasted even better! They froze very well and reheating made them taste just like they did out of the fryer. Yum!

Mom's Best Peanut Brittle
I took everyone's suggestions with the vanilla and adding peanuts later, it turned out great!
