About this Cook
I'm a mother of 4, all grown now. I have always loved to cook and experiment with recipes and create new ones. When I am not working, I enjoy crocheting, reading, and shopping. I enjoy a clean home, but am no Domestic Diva.
My favorite things to cook
I love Chinese and Mexican foods. I also love having a pot of home made soup on the stove during cold months. I'm known for my home made rolls and I've done wedding cakes professionally, so have lots of experience and good recipes, as I do it all from scratch.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My kids love it when I make Calzone. Every Valentines I would make Home made individual Heart-shaped Pizzas for them. Now they do the same for their children. I also make great caramels (my gramma's tradition) and fudge at Christmas time.

Cola Pork Chops
Eh! This was ok, particularly if you have cola to use up. Very easy, and most uses things you have on hand. I'd put onions in it if I make it again.

Amish White Bread
I never proof the yeast unless I suspect it might be too old, + I keep yeast in the fridge. The bread is very easy to make, is very light but easy to cut and doesn't crumble, so it makes good sandwich bread and toast. I used Robin Hood Flour from Canada (which is very fine, like silk compared to regular flour which is velvety). It raised so well my husband said it looked like it had a parachute open. Very good bread, I will make it a lot.

Peach Ice Cream
I cut this recipe in half and it still made too much for my icecream maker, so I made the 2nd batch the next day. Not complaining, it was delish! I did cook the milk and eggs as I think it makes it creamier. I will make this again, such a good way to eat fresh peaches!
