I started cooking when I moved out on my own when I was 19. I bought a cookbook from the bookstore and just started picking out different recipes to try. I would cook dinner for me and my roommate,she was my guinea pig. She pretty much liked everything that I made. That's when I came up with ChefboyoBrown. My maiden name is Brown and when I would tell my family and friends what I made, they were impressed and that's why I started calling myself ChefboyoBrown. :) Now I cook and bake for my husband. I really enjoy cooking and trying all different kinds of cuisines. I wish I was a little more creative when it comes to cooking and baking but I add some of my own touches here and there.
My cooking triumphs
1.)My first Christmas Day lunch/dinner in 2003. I made a pork roast with mashed potatoes, gravy, veggies, cresent rolls and a cheesecake (first time). My family loved everything.
2.)My first turkey and ham for a Christmas Party in 2004. I don't know how I fit both of those in the oven but it worked and came out perfectly. I was a little nervous so I had a few too many glasses of wine that night but I totally enjoyed myself and so did our guests.
