Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Everyone loved this dish, and I didn't change anything! The first time I made this I cooked it for the full 6 hours...don't do that. I had to scrape burnt chicken off the bottom of the pot. 5 hours is just perfect.

Layered Hazelnut Cheesecake

The three layers catered to everyones favourites. It was like having 3 cheesecakes. A good medium weight, it wasn't too dense or fluffy. The flavors all complimented each other too.

Baby Back Ribs

This is the rib recipe I have been searching for. It's unbelieveably easy and tastes fabulous. The only thing I did not mentioned in the recipe was to remove the membrane so the ribs would marinate better. The ribs fell off the bone. Yum Yum.

Barbequed Steak

I loved this recipe. It's simple but tasted great. I'm not much of a steak fan because I like it well done and therefore is usually dry. I poked the steaks with a fork and then rubbed the marinade in and let sit in the fridge for 2 hours before barbecuing. Even well done the steaks were still fairly tender.

Bone-In Ham Cooked in Beer

The ham was so soft no knives were required. There wasn't a distinct beer flavour...in fact I surprised my family when I told them it was cooked in beer.

Homemade Vanilla

This recipe rocks!! I used 4 large vanilla beans beacuse 2 beans didn't seem like much in that big bottle. It smells and tastes like the "pure" expensive stuff in the store, but it doesn't have any coloring in it so it's a lot lighter.

Very tasty! I let the sugar-water mixture boil for 2 minutes to thicken it up a little bit more. It was very easy to make, and although it still wasn't as thick as the "real stuff" nobody complained...they were too busy drinking!
