We thought this was a wonderful recipe. We made cutouts for windows, and spread crushed candy canes inside them prior to baking. They melt into stained glass windows. Thanks for a great recipe!

Pomegranate Jelly

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2005
This has a wonderful flavor! I was a little worried about how runny it seemed, but when it was totally cooled, the texture was a nice soft texture. Easy to spread, and only a tiny bit runny. Thanks for a wonderful recipe! This is my all time favorite jelly! It's going to be this year's Christmas gift along with some fresh baked bread!

Martha's Vegetable Beef Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2005
Delicious and so easy! We used beef boullion like the others suggested, and we like things spicy so added 1/2 tsp. garlic powder, 1/2 tsp. onion powder, 1/2 tsp. pepper and 2 tsp. sugar. We love to dip our bread and butter in the tasty broth. Delicious! Thanks for a great recipe!

Ten Minute Enchilada Sauce

This sauce is excellent, and so easy. To overcome the naturally bitter taste of the chile powder, we add 2 T sugar. Gives it just that right balance. Delicious!

Authentic Enchiladas Verdes

Wow, I've been looking for a green chile sauce, and this is the best. You can find the tomatillos and queso fresco cheese at WalMart. This is very spicy with 5 serranos. Substituting a couple of jalapenos reduces some of the heat.! Delicious!

We really enjoyed this recipe. It was so quick and easy. Added a little sugar, which offset the lime really well. Tasted wonderful. Thanks for a great recipe!

Curried Microwaved Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2005
I cooked this on the stove-top as did the others. My curry lover thought was delicious even without the mushrooms and onions. I added cooked egg-drop dumplings after it was baked (2 cups flour, 1 tsp. salt, 4 eggs and 1/2 cup cream. Blend, then drop dough by pieces into boiling water for 10 minutes). Delicious!

The Old Boy's Strawberry Pie

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2005
This is a delicious pie and tastes great, but the topping turns out yellow when baked. To give it a more pleasing appearance, the sugar you sprinkle on top at the very of baking can first be whisked with a drop of red food coloring, making it pink which makes the pie look better. Thanks for a super recipe!

The Best Sweet and Sour Meatballs

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2005
This was the best sweet and sour meatball recipe I've ever made. The only change was to add 2 T of cornstarch to the sauce (mix with a small amount of sauce then add to remainder) so that it was thicker, and I added some ketchup. I baked it in the oven as another reader suggested. My family all loved it!

Fabulous Homemade Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2004
I couldn't wait to try this bread just from all the reviews - but I have to be honest. It had a very bland taste, and my loaves fell during the second rising after about 30 minutes. Maybe I did something wrong, but I followed the recipe exactly. The crust did come out very rustic, as one person mentioned. It just needs more flavor.

Mmm-Mmm Better Brownies

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2004
The taste of these brownies is wonderful! I cooked them for 25 minutes but they were gooey in the middle so you will want to cook them a little longer. The middle drooped quite a bit and they never seemed to puff up very well. I covered them a lot of powdered sugar...and they were still delicious!
