About this Cook
I'm a mom of 2 kids and 1 husband.
My favorite things to cook
I like making raw foods, anything with garlic, anything with cheese, and gourmet desserts.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Making homemade sugar cookies for Halloween and Valentine's day, and pumpkin custard pies for Christmas and Thanksgiving!
My cooking triumphs
Making an awesome pumpkin chai cheesecake from scratch, and making a really good moist turkey on Thanksgiving a few years ago.
My cooking tragedies
My friend and I, both about 13 years old, were making sugar cookies at her grandma's house when we ran out of flour. We found what we thought was flour in a big bucket, and it made the hardest cookies ever. It turned out to be powdered milk! They did make good teething biscuits for my baby brother.

Raspberry Spinach Salad
Not bad. We tried it with fresh peaches instead of kiwis since that's what we had. The whole family liked it! Will be making this again!

Baklava
Fantastic! I would sprinkle a little bit more than 3 Tablespoons of the nuts for the nut layers, because I ran out of phyllo dough before I ran out of the nuts. This was so good that I won't ever buy baklava again!

Big Soft Ginger Cookies
These are really good. I made them exactly as the recipe, except I used butter straight out of the fridge. I also refrigerated the dough for at least an hour before I baked them. They turned out big and soft. The only way to improve on these is to dip them halfway into some melted white chocolate. Divine!
