About this Cook
I'm a twenty-something single girl who is trying to trim down my expenses and my figure. This means a lot of home-cooking. I love experimenting with flavors that I've never tried before. New kinds of fish and vegetables are keeping my curiousity peaked and my mind on my diet. I love low-carb, low-fat, but tasty recipes!
My favorite things to cook
Things for me. I rarely like cooking/baking if I'm not going to be able to sample what I've prepared.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My dad is the waffle man. No one makes waffles except him.
My cooking triumphs
Every meal that is edible I consider a triumph.
My cooking tragedies
I would love to make Tiramasu or Baklava. But I fear that my representations would be tragic.

The Best Vegetarian Chili in the World
Awesome chili -- relatively easy to prepare, tons of leftovers that you can freeze and thaw (which taste just as good as the first time), and common ingredients. Due to indigestion issues within my family, I had to adapt the recipe for a little milder taste. I used just one jalapeno, and one can of green chiles. It tastes great but without the strong kick afterwards. Still a chili to clear the sinuses! YUM! Thanks Calead910 for sharing! (P.S. I've noticed that some people are having a hard time finding garbanzo beans... They're also known as chick-peas.)

Potato Soup IV
This recipe satisfied my Potato Soup craving and then some! Easy to make, I mashed the potatoes a bit while slowly adding the milk; It made for a very creamy and delicious soup. Leftovers plentiful and tasted just as good as the first night.
