About this Cook
I love cooking and try to prepare something new everyday. My boyfriend says I'm sometimes too "experimental"! :) Allrecipes has been my kitchen bible for a while and I've learnt a lot thanks to all of you, thanks so much!
My favorite things to cook
I'm watching my weight so i'm definitely looking for healthy recipes! And even if I were not trying to shed a few pounds, I think it's important to feed my family with loads of veggies! Of course, I like to treat myself every once in a while. Life's too short to not eat chocolate!
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mum has the most delicious tomato sauce ever! She uses it in lasagna, spaghetti Bolognese, garlic shrimps and meatballs. I haven't been able to find her secret until now. Our newest tradition is sunday lunch: mum prepares the main dish and I bring the dessert.
My cooking triumphs
Recently, we had a housewarming party and I made the entire appetizers buffet from scratch. Felt like an achievement...
My cooking tragedies
One word: polenta!

Mom's Coleslaw
I've tried several coleslaw recipes over the years and they all required tons of ingredients. I should have know that the simpler, the better! I will not go looking for a coleslaw again!

Vegan Chocolate Cake
Great cake! I made it on 2 different occasions and it went in seconds both times!

Moroccan Tagine
This is a good recipe but definitely needs more spices. Also, don't serve the tagine on rice but on couscous! (works well with chicken too)
