Perfect Turkey

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2008
THANK YOU! this was the very first endeavor at baking a turkey (my husband usually makes it).. it was great.. moist.. my 13# turkey took a little under 4 hours.. I cooked it breast side up b/c i was concerned about turning it over! it was perfectly browned... I was concerned about the amount of salt-- but it was perfect.. I made it yesterday (in case it was a flop-- i wanted another day to redeem my New Year's eve dinner!-- but it was perfect.. so we have perfect leftovers and no cooking for me tonight!!!)

Sweet Potato Pie I

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2008
I peeled my 5 little potatoes, wrapped each up individually in foil-- baked 1 hour at 400 degrees... then just dumped the potatoes in a bowl to mix with the rest of ingredients... I feel sooo accomplished! i've been cooking for years, & never tried a sweet potato pie.. this recipe is perfect.. just for adventure's sake (or maybe just for a "gourmet feel"-- i used evap milk instead of regular-- but i think the regular would give the same result!!) YUMMY!

Twice Baked Potatoes

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2008
Four stars.. only because it wouldve been WAAAAY too pepper-y for me! i decreased the pepper.. for myself, only 1/2 Red Pepper, 1/2 Black Pepper is sufficient.. ALSO-- I mixed the potatoes w/ an electric mixer... then stuffed the shells... WAS AWESOME OTHERWISE!!!

THANK YOU! I have a toddler that is allergic to eggs.. so i used "ENER-G Egg Replacer" as a sub for the 3 eggs... it was WONDERFUL! it's my first attempt with the ENER-G stuff and it proved well in this recipe.. i definitely agree-- only 2 cups of sugar needed (half white, half brown).. IT'S AWESOME!

AH-HAAA!!! this is how the restaurants do it!!!! CLASSIC recipe-- just a few ingredents, with a wonderfully gourmet taste! i am having this with one of my fave Applebee's makeover salads (i think it was called Country Fried chicken Salad): breaded chicken tenderloins (sliced), sliced hard boiled egg, 1/4 cup black beans, 1/4 cup sweet corn (from a can), chopped red peppers, and a bed of chopped Romaine lettuce-- YUM!

made this this morning, to test to see if it would be good for a dinner appetizer tonight... (really to make sure it tasted good) AWESOME! the red wine vinegar was just enough "tanginess" for the recipe.. OMITTED the evap milk, as others sugg.. will definitely take w/ me to my next potluck! thanks for the recipe!

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2007
AWESOME...i just made this and am eating it as i type...one of the traits of a classic recipe is this: SIMPLICITY,TASTE,TEXTURE,VERSATILITY. No more jar alfredo when you can get THIS VELVETY SMOOTH CLASSIC TASTE. Cream cheese-- never would have guessed it. It's probably awesome with any meat you put w/ it-- i'm eating it with pasta! I'll try with shrimp next!

PERFECT cookie!! the only thing i modified was i slightly melted the butter-- it helped keep the cookie together after baking... i even made a 2nd batch, decreased the white sugar to 1/4 cup and it didnt affect the taste!!! used mini-chips and was even better!! i dont prefer nuts in my oatmeal cookie.. THANKS for sharing!!

def restaurant quality! made this 5 minutes ago... excellent.. doubled recipe, used 1 whole can of coconut milk, added 1/2 c pineapple bits (as one review suggested)-- the pineapple added a nice light "hidden" sweetness".. the spices in this recipe are just right! WILL MAKE AGAIN AND AGAIN!!!

My FIRST meatloaf-and it was awesome, and SO EASY. I did use 1.4 lbs of ground beef, 2 eggs, 1 tsp garlic powder. This will DEF be my traditional meatloaf recipe-- and contrary to others saying it was too sweet-- for me and my husband, it was PERFECT. Will try w/ raisins and curry next time!!
