I needed to take something for a work morning meeting and this worked very well.
I cooked the hash browns in the oven for 20 minutes first, to make sure they were crispy and would then not have to worry about them going soggy.
Then I cooked up 4 sausages and cut them into 1" pieces.
Once the hash browns were done, I tossed in the sausages on top, used bacon instead of ham, added chopped mushrooms, an extra egg and then completed the recipe as written.
So a great base recipe that you can tweak easily to your tastes.
I will definately be making this again, as it ideal for when you have a gathering. It also looked very presentable
