Mediterranean Yellow Rice and Vegetables

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2009
It had a weird flavor that didn't seem to be as good as all the ingredients that went into it. The citrus flavor really came through, if that's what your goal is.

Restaurant 222 Peach Cobbler

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2006
This takes time to make, but it is worth the effort. The cinnamon ice cream for me, turned out like soft served ice cream. It had an odd flavor. The whiskey ice cream was better, but looked really weird after I cooked it. It didn't look like what ice cream is supposed to. It froze well though. The crumbs were good, but this recipe makes too many crumbs. I would cut it in half. The peach recipe is good even though I used frozen peaches. I would strongly recommend using fresh peaches, but they are not available here in the winter. Overall, it was good, but the ice cream flavors were sort of odd for peach cobbler.

Crackle Top Fudge Sauce

Good consistency, but there is barely and chocolate flavor in this sauce.

Mahallebi

This stuff is the best. I thought I made it worng because I thought it was supposed to be pudding, but it's not. It's very good, and has simple flavors that blend well with each other.

Sherry's German Turkey

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2006
All the flavor went into the meat and made it taste, gamey. It was very tender, but I was a bit disappointed that it fell apart when we tried to take it out of the bag. Also, the bacon was very dark, not burnt, but I would watch out for that next time. My mom was surprised that it turned out so crispy, the turkey I mean. Good recipe overall.

Slow Cooker Stuffing

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2006
So flavorful! Too bad it looks like mush. I guess that could be fixed by baking it, but then it wouldn't be slow cooker stuffing. But maybe stuffing always looks like that. I don't know.

These are excellent. They are chewy on the outside and soft on the inside. Mine were done in 14 minutes.

Very good, even though they didn't have coconut in them. They didn't last very long.

Cajun Chicken Pasta

This is amazing. I like the sauce thicker, so I added some corn starch mixed with water. A tiny bit bland, so maybe I will add some Old Bay into it next time.

Annie's Fruit Salsa and Cinnamon Chips

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2006
Amazing blend of flavors! The chips were good, but a little messy trying to eat them. Be sure to dump all of the excess off first. This is good stuff. Makes good sandwiches too, like instead of jelly.

Double Layer Pumpkin Cheesecake

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2006
Good recipe, but I think the pumpkin part could have been a little spicier. We just like it that way. The presentation is nice though. The layers were very clear and distinct from one another.

Grilled Asparagus with Orange Wasabi Dressing

I finally found a recipe that tastes like that sauce they use at the Chinese restaurant! We found that the sauce also tastes good on red potatoes with garlic and butter.

Cherry Chocolate Cups

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2006
This is a good, and easy recipe. Next time, I wouldn't make white chocolate cups, just because normal chocolate tastes so much better with cherries. The cherries turned out not to be chewy at all, like it was expected.

Cappuccino Mousse in Chocolate Cups

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2006
These are so easy to make, although they do take a little bit of time for cooling the chocolate cups enough to unwrap them. They taste wonderful. Tip: I used mini tin foil liners and a mini ice cream scoop. They are very delicate, so make sure to refrigerate the cups for at least a half an hour before trying to unwrap them.

Honey Black Pepper Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2006
These wings were very oily and lost all the flavor that the marinade gave them. Next time, I will bake them so they can keep the flavor. I'm sure they would taste a lot better that way.
