About this Cook
Married since September 2004. I have a beautiful wife, a couple wonderful sons and the most precious daughter ever.
My favorite things to cook
My favorite things to cook involve barbecue. I like to add pizzazz to stuff by firing it up with either a good gourmet BBQ sauce that I have found or been gifted, or add my own sauce to.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I have just recently started my own family, so the traditions are still to come. My old traditions are dinner at my parents with my mother cooking her wonderful dishes.
My cooking triumphs
My favorite things to do are to watch the Food Network and see them prepare dishes. I then take what I have learned and at my spin on them. My best investment was buying my electric pressure cooker off QVC. To quote my wife, "The pressure cooker is never getting out of the kitchen, is it?"
My cooking tragedies
Most of my dishes wind up tasting well, even if they don't turn out as gorgeous as I had imagined. However, one dish I did in a crockpot involved pasta. I didn't have all of the directions, so when I combined all ingredients at once I learned later that the missing part said except pasta. It became a glutenous mess. Tasted like flavorful craft paste.

Chicken and Noodle Casserole
I modified this and it turned out very well. I added a can of cream of mushroom soup, a can of milk, and a cup of Hellman's real mayonaise. Like others, I only used 12 ounces of noodles. Also, in place of the can of vegetables I used a half bag of frozen. I think that as long as the liquid amount gets doubled, it turns out great.

Bubble Pizza
This recipe has easily slid into our bi- weekly menu plan. I have one of the pickiest eaters on the planet in my family and even he will eat this. My family chooses to half the ground beef quantity and add half-a-dozen (or so) slices of crumbled bacon and a few more personal favorite items on half. This is super easy and it is a sure-fire hit with even the pickiest of eaters... trust me!

Taco Quiche
I have made this recipe twice and thought it was great both times. The second time, I made it with half/half (had some left over) and it made it so-o-o-o-o good. This one is worth a try.
