About this Cook
I've been cooking for more than 30 years, I would rather be at home cooking than anything else!
My favorite things to cook
Casseroles, grilling, open campfire cooking. I love to try new things.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love cooking for the family for the holidays. Everyone looks forward to my traditional home cooking!
My cooking triumphs
I rarely follow cooking ingredients/directions to a "T", I usually change or add spices or ingredients to a recipe. It makes things unique, interesting and fun. I love coming up with my "own" casseroles, especially when I want to clear out the pantry and/or freezer. I came up with a chicken casserole many years ago that everyone raved about and it has since become a recipe that I make at least once every month or so.
My cooking tragedies
I can only think of one tragedy... it was just about a month after I was married, I bought a box of Chef Boyardee lasagne, made it, served it to my husband and his friend. They HATED it, it was awful, but being U.S. Marines, they ate it anyway!

Burrito Pie
Very easy, inexpensive dish. I used a big round casserole dish. Served with a salad and rice. Not sure why the other reviewer said 448 bottles of sauce... maybe they had too much "sauce" when they reviewed! ;-]

Pepperoni Burgers
Sorry, just didn't think these were all that great, and I even added more pepperoni! They just needed something more, and I'm not sure what that would be!

Eddie's Special Burgers
Know what? I thought these were okay, tried beacase they were the recipe of day... and, I followed just as the recipe stated. Was hoping for more, I guess, they sounded so good. I am so sorry, just thought they were "okay". Thanks for the recipe anyway! I have to say it was different. Would love to tweek it a bit! :)
