I made these yesterday for Easter and they were fantastic! They come out looking like crescent rolls, not like the photo but I will be making these again. I used my Vita-Mix to do the dough but it bogged down as the flour to liquid ratio is high for that appliance but it still worked and they got raves from my family.

I used my Whirly-Pop (which is great for keeping the kernals moving rapidly), butter-flavor popping oil and about 1/2 tsp. salt in with the sugar. I put the 3 kernals recommended by other users into the oil and when they popped I quickly added the popping corn then the sugar/salt mixture. I found the sugar seems to make it take longer to pop so you have to be very careful that it doesn't scorch. Mine didn't really but it was just "this side" of scorching. It was a little sticky at first but separated and dried quickly. Very tasty - I almost ate the whole batch myself! Can't wait to try this for my kids and husband - he loves kettle corn!

I make this all the time for my family when I have leftover roast chicken. I use the following substitutions: Peanut oil instead of vegetable oil, leftover roast chicken instead of canned chicken and toasted sesame seeds instead of almonds with a little sesame oil sprinkled on to taste. Everyone always raves about it.
