About this Cook
I am married with a teenage daughter. I work part time in a crafts store. I love doing anything creative, and cooking is definitely an awesome way to release creative energy.
My favorite things to cook
My favorite things to cook are also my favorite things to eat. I love baking. It's the way I relax and destress. My favs are anything sweet, chicken fried steak, and fried rice with stirfry.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My grandmother was a baker. Her house always smelled like cakes and pies. Her apple cake and coffee cake were almost always sitting around. Ahhhh, good memories!!!
My cooking triumphs
I think I have alot of cooking triumphs. Every time I cook for others and it makes them happy, that is a triumph for me.
My cooking tragedies
My worst cooking disaster was when I made a strawberry soda cake and I didn't release enough of the carbonation before I cooked it. It EXPLODED!!! It was the first time I had baked anything from scratch, and it scared me--bad. I wouldn't bake anything from scratch for a long time.

Chinese Chicken Fried Rice II
yummy rice for something so simple. You have to use cold rice for the right texture. will make again and again and again....

Indonesian Satay
the chicken marinade was good, but the peanut sauce tasted like just peanut butter. would definitely make the chicken again without the sauce.

Tortilla Rollups IV
yummy and super easy. I make them on different flavored tortillas for a little bit of variety.
