About this Cook
I am a 20-something high school Special Education teacher who recently moved in with her boyfriend. I am learning to cook for both of us and meet both of our interests in meals. (He'll eat just about anything and I am pretty picky!) I enjoy cooking for others and get great joy in knowing they have enjoyed my meal or dessert!
My favorite things to cook
Cookies & desserts! YUM! I love to make them and take them to work! It is too dangerous to keep them at home!
My favorite family cooking traditions
My father always makes a wonderful breakfast for Christmas morning. As much as I would like to try my own, I don't want to take away any of the specialness from his holiday meal!
My cooking triumphs
I was very pleased when I made a wonderful salmon dinner because I felt like I was a real cook and not just a box or mix cook!
My cooking tragedies
I wouldn't categorize anything as TRAGIC just yet, so hopefully I can keep it that way!

Janet's Rich Banana Bread
As other reviewers mentioned, it was very moist and the flavor was good. My only issue was the sight & feel of the bananas in the bread. Slicing them up, instead of mashing or pureeing them, causes them to be quite mushy and purple. I felt like I was biting into a bruise each time I ate a slice. I ended up digging them out before eating in order to salvage the bread. Sorry, but I think I'll stick to mashing or pureeing...but I'll use the rest of this recipe.
