About this Cook
I am a professional caterer. I have worked in the food industry for 20+ years, and it is my passion at work, and at home.
My favorite things to cook
My favorite things to cook are appetizers.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Being from West Virginia, my family celebrated with food frequently. My mother's side of the family are all great home cooks, and I got my love of food from them.
My cooking triumphs
I entertain frequently, and I always love it when people complimant my cooking.
My cooking tragedies
I don't have a lot of tragedies, because I always test evey recipe before trying it out on people. One time though, when I was a teenager, I got a cookbook from the library. It had an Indian dish in that I tried. At that time, I knew nothing about INdian food. When I served it, it was terrible, and my father questioned the main ingredient, beef. I didn't know at the time that beef was not an ingredient found in most Indian food.

Easy Pickled Beets
Excellent flavor and very easy. Great when you don't have time to fool with raw beets.
