Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2009
Awesome!!! I followed the recipe with the exception of using a potato masher to mash the potato, ham, onion mixture before adding the butter/milk mixture to it which made it very smooth instead of chunky, a personal preference. I also garnished with some shredded cheddar. A great soup for a cold winter's night.

Chocolate Truffle Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2008
These are AWESOME!!! If I could give it 10 stars I would. I made the recipe exactly as stated and chilled overnight. They are the best chocolate cookies that I've ever made. They are very tasty but not so rich that you can't eat a couple and they are soft like fudge. Thanks for this recipe!!

These were so tasty and easy!! A nice change from the boring steamed asparagus. I will definitely be making these again.

Prosciutto and Parmesan Pinwheels

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2008
YUMMY!! I made these as part of my Super Bowl party menu and people loved them. In addition to tasting great they were fast and easy to make. The only thing I added was a little grated Pecorino Romano cheese to the Parmesan cheese.

Roasted Pumpkin Seeds

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2007
These were delicious!! I did make the following adjustments per other reviews: 1) I boiled the seeds in salted water for 20 minutes (it really does clean the seeds well,) 2) I then laid them out on a cookie sheet overnight to dry, 3) The next morning I mixed them with 1 tablespoon salt, 1 tablespoon melted butter and 1 tablespoon olive oil and 4) I spread the coated seeds on a cookie sheet and baked them for 30 minutes at 300 degrees. They were perfect!!!!

Stuffed Turkey Roll

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2007
I made this exactly per the recipe and served it with gravy, mashed potatoes and cranberry. All I can say is that it's not the worst I've ever made and if you're looking for something different with not much taste then this is for you. My own personal opinion would be to skip this one.

Coconut Cream Cake I

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2007
AWESOME!!! I made this cake for Easter and it was a huge hit. I prepared it exactly per the recipe and it came out moist and delicious. The most important step is making it the night before so it can set. I will definitely be making this again!

Margaret's Southern Chocolate Pie

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2007
I consider myself to be a pretty good cook and have made numerous recipes from this site and others but, this pie was horrible! The consistency was far from velvet and the flavor was not good. In my opinion, if you're looking for an easy chocolate pie stick with the good old-fashioned pudding pie.

Broccoli Cheese Bake

This was okay. It was very bland. I think it needs spices or something to give it more taste.

Jo's Rosemary Bread

This is a very tasty and aromatic bread. I used my bread machine and it came out perfect. I served it with olive oil and grated parmesan cheese, for dipping. I will be making this again.

Blueberry Buckle

Reviewed: May 27, 2006
YUMMY!!! I made this for dessert and everyone devoured it. The only changes I made were: I used butter instead of shortening, I added 1 tsp. vanilla and I used frozen blueberries instead of fresh, only because they're not in season yet. A keeper for sure!

Broccoli Cheese Soup

Reviewed: May 11, 2006
This was very tasty and everyone at my dinner party loved it! I did make the following small adjustments: 1)I doubled the broccoli, 2)used extra-sharp cheddar and some american cheese instead of the processed cheese, 3)replaced milk with heavy cream, 4)used real minced garlic instead of the garlic powder and 5)added 1/2 tsp. white pepper. I'll be making this soup again really soon!!!

White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2006
This was a delicious (but rich) cheesecake that I will definitely be making again! To save time, I used seedless raspberry jam instead of the frozen raspberries and it came out great! I also made extra raspberry sauce to put over the cake when it was served and everyone loved it. If you want to impress then this is the cheesecake for you.

Chicken Piccata II

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2006
This was excellent and easy! I did take previous reviewers advice and dipped chicken in flour, then egg mixture and then flour again. I then refrigerated it for 15 minutes before adding it to the skillet for browning and my coating stayed on perfectly. A few other small adjustments: I substituted white wine for the boiling water and added sliced mushrooms and capers while simmering. I will definitely be making this again!

HERB-OX® Bouillon Pork Chops with Burgundy Mushroom Sauce

Not as good as I expected. I followed the recipe exactly and found the pork chops to be a little dry and the sauce a little bland. An okay recipe but there are better out there.

Bobbie's Oatmeal Cookies

After reading all the great reviews about these cookies I couldn’t wait to taste them. Boy was I disappointed. After following the recipe exactly I found them to be tasteless. I think something needs to be added but not really sure what. Maybe cinnamon?

Mouth-Watering Stuffed Mushrooms

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2004
These were so tasty that I'm adding them to my Thanksgiving menu this year! I took other reviewer's advice and made only half of the filling. I was still able to generously fill 22 medium sized mushrooms. Once the filling was in each mushroom I dipped them in seasoned breadcrumbs and sprinkled them with paprika. Yummy! Lastly, they freeze great, just freeze before cooking and pop in oven whenever you need them.
