About this Cook
I am a wife and mother of 2.
My favorite things to cook
Italian food, Mexican and Hearty Meat & Potato dishes!
My favorite family cooking traditions
As a teenager, preparing dinner for my parents while they were working, and now for my family and parents when they come to visit.
My cooking triumphs
My Cousins wedding cake, and 22 individual cakes for each table!
My cooking tragedies
Ugh, many cakes that flopped in the summer humidity before we had air conditioning. OH and that chocolate swirled cheese cake that I brought to a friends house for dinner! I couldn't figure out why it was taking so long to cook and the center still looked gooey! We ate the outer edeges which were yummy, but the rest went in the trash. I re-read the recipe later and found out it was a double recipe! RULE # 1-- Always read your recipe all the way through before you start to cook!!

Anna's Linguica and Potato Stew
Everyone loved it. I have only made Linguica with egg and or pepper sandwiches. This was a nice dish and smelled as great as it tastes. I like to remove the skin from the Linguica as well as other types of sausages. Otherwise followed the directions and it was perfect. (I think different types of potatoes cook better in crockpots, try small white or red potatoes they cooked up fine in the amount of time stated.) Served with warm Portugese Bread. (I downsized the recipe to serve 8 and it came out great using a 4qt crock pot.)

Baked Onion Dip
Easy to make, and delicious! I should have made two it went so fast. Even I enjoyed this dip and I am not a fan of cooked onions! You must try for your next get together!

Easy and Delicious Chicken
This is the best. Quick, easy and delicious! I have made it as is, and also with cream of mushroom in place of the cream of chicken. I have also made it with london broil, beef broth, and cream of mushroom. My family loves it and asks for it once a week!! Great if you are on the run it cooks all day, with no defrosting. Love It!!!!
