I'm sorry to only give this a three. I followed directions except I added some red wine to the meat to make it more tendor. I did add some dry french onion soup as one poster suggested. I don't think I would do that again. I will make this again but not with stew meat. I think this calls for a much better peice of meat.

I did what one review said and layered this like a lasagna. Not sure what I did wrong but it just wasnt very good. I won't be making this again.

I liked this beacuse it is hard to find good crock recipes. When I put it in the crock pot I layered the bottome with red onion. I added garlic, salt and pepper worteshire sauce a dash of liquid smoke and a can of coke. left on low all day then shredded and used origianl sweet baby rays. Had over potatoe buns and coleslaw. was very good
