I watched and helped my mother cook for years as I grew up. The tradition was for me to help her cook by prepping the pans, making the slurry and watching and learning by observing.
Now that I am an adult I long for those times. Those dishes such as roast beef, steamed cabbage, sweet potato pie have become comfort food for me.
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake. I have more experience with cookies and cakes. I want to learn more about pies.
My favorite family cooking traditions
We love spicy spaghetti.
My cooking triumphs
My cooking triumphs are making any dish that my husband, the ultimate picky-eater, will eat. He can't eat onions and does not like a whole list of things. He likes Chicken Piccata, Chicken Marsala, and Chicken with Garlic, Basil and Parsley.
My cooking tragedies
I know there have been some. However, I cannot remember them. I guess I just like to remember the good times and forget the bad.
