Married stay-at-home mom with three children still at home. As the only cook in the family, all family dinners fall on me so I am constantly looking for inspiration. Anything Italian! With the influx of Latino ingredients now found in the grocery stores, I am now trying out many new Latin inspired dishes. As a military family, we have moved quite a bit, but one regional dish that really stands out is Frogmore Stew from the South Carolina Lowcountry. The whole family (12 to 20 people) tries to get together at least once a year to spread out some newspapers, boil some shrimp and sausage, and just dig in!!! Last year, I started a new tradition with my family of serving Christmas Brunch instead of the usual Christmas dinner. Most of the recipes came off of AllRecipes and all were a major success! I was attempted to make oatmeal cookies and just could not get the time spent in the oven down right. Out of 4 dozen cookies, only 6 cookies came out right!
