About this Cook
I've been married to a meat and potatoes guy for 35 yrs. Now his tastes have come around, and he is more than willing to experiment. His cooking abilities have also growen. I started cooking when I was 9 or 10, my Ma worked, Dad was on the road 4 days a week, And I learned many of my basics then from cookbooks.
My favorite things to cook
Soups, stews, stirfry. I love to "kitchen sink" cook. Everything BUT the kitchen sink goes in. I love to bake bread, it is very satisfying.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Christmas Eve, as it was with my Itailan Ma, seafood, seafood, seafood! Fried, steamed, poached, all of it. Lots of finger food, cheeses, and wines to go with everything.
My cooking triumphs
Crown rack of venison, with all the field sides, corn., carrots, onions, and potatoes, that I hand dug fresh from a local farm.
My cooking tragedies
Any cake or cookie.

Wow! It was the best I've ever had. Very flexible. And not like take out is right. More like home cooking!
