About this Cook
I've always liked to cook and bake. I remember making brownies from scratch when I was in Junior High School. The box version just wasn't good enough! I live in NJ with my fiance and kitty cat, baby Ebony.
My favorite things to cook
I LOVE to bake! Although I've been trying out new things cooking-wise also. I like to cook stuff that I want to eat. I like to find meals to put into my "usual rotation".
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom doesn't cook much, but when she does, it's good. She makes the BEST Pepperoni Bread around Christmas. Also, during the summer, nobody can beat her potato salad. And she has this amazing way of making Ragu tomato sauce taste BETTER than homemade!
My cooking triumphs
A few years ago for Christmas, I baked Banana Bread loaves for ALL of the support staff at the school I was teaching at. I ended up baking banana bread for 3 days straight! It was insane! Now I make cookies for them each year.....which ends up being something like 12 dozen cookies. It's kind of crazy still, but better than the banana bread year.
My cooking tragedies
Getting better in this respect - few and far between are the tragedies. I've become better at realizing what is going to work and what won't, so I can usually "save" a recipe before it goes bad.

Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken Sandwiches
It was very spicy - and when I took it out, it was more of a buffalo chicken dip. My husband ate a sandwich, but it was a little too hot for me. So we put it in a saucepan with cream cheese, ranch dressing and shredded cheddar cheese and re-made it into buffalo chicken dip for the game on Sunday! That was yummy!

Garlic Bubble Ring
ehh, it was not good. i used the french loaf (ready to use) and it didn't rise in the bundt pan, it came out looking all small and really crusty.

GA Peach Pound Cake
Followed the recipe exactly, and it was very good, not too die for, but good.
