Fluffy French Toast

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2009
I used regular old white bread and added a splash of orange juice. I cooked it in a George Foreman grill and it came out awesome. It didn't taste like flour to me at all, but I whisked it well and didn't have any lumps. The mixture was kinda like pancake batter. Was fluffy and not soggy at all like regular french toast!

Mushroom Sauce Baked Pork Chops

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2009
I liked this better after adding some modifications. I used sweet mesquite rub (Costco brand) on the chops instead of any of the spices in this recipe. Instead of using potatoes, I used frozen hash browns. Cuts the work in half. I also add more sweet mesquite rub to the milk/soup concoction while it's in the skillet. My husband hated it the first time I made it, saying it didn't taste like anything, but with the modifications he loves it and it saves me a lot of time. Thanks!

Black Bean Soft Tacos

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2009
These were so quick and awesome! I did have to make a bunch of changes the second time I made them because I didn't have most of the ingredients. I didn't have avocado and didn't have a lot of the spices, so I just substituted some taco seasoning. I also used a can of diced tomatoes with chilies already in them. I also found that this works good with corn tortillas and with sour cream. Thanks!

Grilled Cheese with Tomato, Peppers and Basil

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2009
I ended up throwing the peppers and tomato into a food processor and draining out the liquids. It made a sandwich that stayed together better and the entire tomato didn't slide out if you didn't bite all the way through it.

Southern Candied Sweet Potatoes

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2008
I substituted brown sugar for white. That's the only substitution I made. I don't think I can go back to the canned stuff ever again. Thank you very much for the recipe!

Microwave Baked Potato

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2007
This was great! One tip - if you want your potatoes to come out extra "steamy" and have problems with your potatoes drying out, try wrapping the potatoes in plastic wrap before microwaving. The skin doesn't dry out and get crisp, but the inner part comes out the way it does in the oven.

Grandma's Peach French Toast

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2006
I didn't have peaches, so I used apples, and I let it sit in the fridge for an hour and half only. But it was excellent. At first I thought it was dry, but I didn't spoon enough of the butter topping onto it. After I did that, it was perfect. By far the best baked french toast I've had!

Deluxe Waffles

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2006
These waffles are just like the ones you make with Bisquick. I served them with sliced strawberries, a little powdered sugar and whipped cream, and my husband and I really enjoyed it!

Peanut Butter Cookies IV

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2006
The cookies had an incredible flavor. I put the dough in the fridge for about 20 minutes to make sure the cookies didn't flatten out during baking, and they came out puffy and chewy and just perfect. Thank you!

Stephen's Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2004
My cookies came out really good, but I made some alterations to the recipe because I like my cookies to be puffy. I used melted butter and put the mixture into the refrigerator for a few hours prior to baking. The result was perfect, puffy cookies that my family devoured.
