Excellent recipe and it looks beautiful. I thought "How in the world are we ever going to eat all this?" and somehow it evaporated in the refrigerator within two days. I used three 8-inch pans, placed a wooden skewer half way up the cake to guide my knife while cutting, and ended up with six layers. It was perfect.

Chocolate Truffle Cookies

Now my favorite chocolate cookie! It is one of the very few cookies that is equally good on the second day (if you can manage to hide some away). I used milk chocolate chips as the last cup of chips for a my taste preference and only baked for 7 minutes. Everyone raved about these.

All-Chocolate Boston Cream Pie

To help contain this "cake" I use a "store bought" chocolate crust! I double the amount of custard and cook the cake in two 8" pans (reducing the baking time to 24 minutes). The layering is: pie crust, half custard, cake, remaining custard, cake, then glaze. I get rave reviews for this pie.
