My creation over Christmas
About this Cook
I am a student at the University of Pennsylvania whose major is Chemistry! However, I think that chemistry and cooking are very similar ideas and so I like to combine both in my spare time. I'm only 18, but love this site and come here everyday.
My favorite things to cook
I really love to bake almost any kind of dessert. My favorite is Baklava, a middle eastern dessert that is delicious, but takes time! I also like to make chocolate pies.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Every year, I contribute a dessert to our holiday meals. It changes every time, but is always the first to go!
My cooking triumphs
When I try a recipe I've never tried before and it comes out delicious, I consider it a triumph. Recently, I tried Fried Green Tomatoes because my dad used to make them when I was young, and they came out perfect.
My cooking tragedies
One time, I put cookies in the oven, set the timer, and asked my sister to take them out when the timer went off while I ran an errand, but upon return, I found the cookies burning in the oven and my sister still on the computer.

Classic Macaroni Salad
This was so good! I had been craving some macaroni salad, so I decided to make this one and I'm glad that I did! The only thing is that it was a little sweet like other people had stated, so next time, I'll reduce the sugar to maybe half a cup.

Chocolate Gravy II
This recipe is the best! I make it all the time (I'm an extreme chocolate lover) and all my friends are impressed with it too! This is saved in my recipe box on this site so I can refer to it all the time!

Fluffy Pancakes
This recipe is awesome! I've finally mastered the art of pancake-making because of this recipe. I didn't change anything except that I added a little bit more sugar and fresh blueberries! The secret to making them golden, though, is to have it on a really low temp and let it brown slowly. It takes like 4 mins each pancake but definitely worth the presentation!
