Homemade Black Bean Veggie Burgers

I've made these a few times and they are my all time favorite vegetarian burger! Even my 3 year old extremely picky eater likes them!

Excellent! I was hesitant at first to cook with pickles, but very impressed with the outcome! My husband spent some time in Germany and was also impressed. I did substitute cube steak and added chopped onion, bacon and pickles to the sauce and thickened it a little with flower as well like a few people suggested and it was amazing!

Island-Style Fried Rice

Very good. I used the lite spam and cooked a chopped green pepper with the meat because I had one on hand. I'll make it again. I like things spicy so I might play around with the spices a bit but would recommend this one!

Thai-Style Peanut Sauce with Honey

Very good! I only had smooth peanut butter so I just used a tbsp extra instead of crunchy but it was great with rice noodles!

Simple Chicken Gravy

Perfect! I had a larger chicken (6 pounds) so I used slightly more water, but not double and enough flour to thicken it (I ran out of flour and substituted corn starch for the rest) Seasoned with salt, pepper, and a pinch of red pepper and it came out perfect!

Chocolate Cherry Cupcakes

Very easy, but I had a real problem with the cherries sinking to the bottom... But that may just be lack of experience... Was able to come up with enough decent ones to work thankfully! I'll make them again.

Octopus in Tomato Sauce

Excellent! And I don't normally like octopus... I used a pre-packaged greek seasoning mix as my mixed spice and slightly more of the juice from the can of tomato because it was burning to the pan, and I will be doing this again -- even my 2 year old loved it!

It's Chili by George!!

Like several people suggested, I used diced tomatoes instead of the tomato juice and it came out great! I think I have found a new favorite chili recipe!

Swedish Meatballs I

This was a big hit at our Christmas party!! I needed a quick appitizer to put together -- I did substitut seasoned breadcrumbs for the cream of wheat, and had to use 2 cans of cream of mushroom soup instead of 1 can of cream of chicken-- but it was still wonderful -- It got so many compliments that I have already stocked up on the cream of chicken soup for the next time so I can do it right!!
