Chicken Noodle Casserole II

I made this casserole yesterday and found it to be dry and didn't have too much flavour. In fairness I used 1% milk and perhaps should have used 2% instead. I also used 1/2 tsp of chili powder and should have used more. I'll try this recipe again as it was easy to prepare but will use 2% milk and more chili powder.

Scalloped Potatoes and Onions

These potatoes were very good. I was concerned there was not any milk in the recipe but they were still very creamy. I'll be making them again and again.

Savory Pork Roast

What a delicious way to make a pork roast. I don't often use sage or marjoram - the combination with garlic was very tasty. Tasted great right out of the oven and again the next day right out of the fridge. Thanks for posting.

Hot Cross Buns I

Making these buns was the first time I've ever used my breadmaker on the 'dough' cycle. I'd never worked with dough before so I was a bit nervous. I'm happy to say these hot cross buns turned out great! I added the icing sugar criss/cross to the top but, to be honest, I preferred the taste without. A nice easy recipe for a rookie baker to try :)

Mahogany Chicken Wings

A very good recipe for chicken wings. I didn't have chili sauce so I substituted ketchup instead. This worked out for us as my kids don't enjoy anything with a 'kick'. Good to know ketchup can be used if necessary.

Ham 'N' Cheese Pie

What an easy and tasty recipe. Husband and kids all enjoyed it. I was worried my dgtr wouldn't eat because of the onions but they didn't overpower the taste of the pie. I also halved the recipe and it turned out perfectly. I made in a glass pie plate and forgot to grease it - suprisingly nothing stuck to the plate! I found the biscuit/baking mix settled to the bottom of the cooked pie and formed a VERY thin crust.

Chocolate Puffed Wheat Squares

I have tried many puffed wheat square recipes and it's one of the things that never turns our for me. I found this one wasn't sticky enough to stay together very well. The taste was good and my kids enjoyed eating it regardless of it's texture. Thanks for posting.

Gingerbread Waffles

My family enjoyed these waffles. We love the taste of gingerbread and this recipe did not disappoint. The smell coming out of the waffle maker was mouth watering. I served with bananas and whip cream. I'll be making these again. Thanks for the recipe :)

Wonderful Waffles

Very good recipe. Crispy on the outside - soft on the inside. Everyone enjoyed them. They required a little extra prep but well worth it.

Pecan French Toast

This was easy to make and tasted pretty good too. I loved how quickly it was to make the night before and there's minimal work in the morning. If you don't like the taste of orange - don't make this - it was quite strong. Thanks for sharing.

Basil Shrimp

Everyone enjoyed this shrimp. I prepared it just as indicated but did not put on skewers and cook on the BBQ. I cooked for a few minutes in a non stick frying pan. The flavour was excellent.

Greek Salad IV

I wanted to try a Greek salad without lettuce and gave this one a try. It was pretty good. I added 1/2 tsp of oregano flakes to the mixture prior to 'cooling' in the fridge. Next time I'd cut back on one of the tomatoes and add another pepper instead. Thanks for sharing.

Scalloped Taters

This was great! Not good for people trying to watch their weight though. I didn't change the recipe and cooked in in my slow cooker on low for 4.5 hours. I wasn't sure what a 'cubed hash brown potatoe' was so I used McCain's Tasty Tators. After 4.5 hrs in slow cooker they broke apart but made a yummy side dish.

Snow on the Mountain Green Beans

Chocolate Glaze II

This was a easy, tasty glaze that I used with a chocolate bundt cake. I was a little worried when I was stirring the milk into the dry ingredients as it was very dry. Once all the milk was added it was a pefect consistency.

Hamburger Stew

This stew was pretty good! I had all the ingriedients in my fridge/cupboard. You have to like that :) I didn't change anything in the recipe but I addedd about 2 Tbsp of chopped fresh cilantro (only because I had some in my fridge) and sprinkled grated cheddar cheese on top of each bowl before serving.

Stovetop Pork Chops and Potatoes

I was a little bit disappointed with this recipe. I prepared and cooked it just as directed. I used thick boneless pork chops and Yukon Gold potatoes. I found both were over cooked. I will try this recipe again using red potatoes and will cook it for less time.

Quick and Easy Chicken Noodle Soup

What a quick and easy soup recipe! I substituted turkey for the chicken. It was a delicious way to use up leftover turkey from Thanksgiving. Next time I'll try it with chicken. Thanks for the recipe.
