Years ago, our local newspaper ran a recipe for a "apple pie in a bag". You make a traditional apple pie, put in a paper bag and bake. The only problem was that the paper forget to mention to "dampen" the bag. So I didn't. It started on fire in the oven and our landlord thought I was burning down the house! The following Sunday, the newspaper printed a correction...I wasn't the only one that tried and failed that recipe!
