Ginger Snap Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2007
the taste was phenomenal but the constituency was poor. they were very soft, thin, gooey and floppy. I wasn't going for them to be hard like actual ginger snaps, but they needed more flour or something. I'll have to play around with the recipe and see if I can get the consistency right. but the flavor especially with the crystallized ginger was perfect.

Pumpkin Cheesecake II

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2007
This was FANTASTIC. I took it to an office party and everybody raved. I did use pumpkin pie spice instead of the all other spices. I used chocolate graham crackers, mixed the nuts and very little butter. the crust was almost dry when I put it in but it came out perfect. Not at all greasy and the chocolate crust was awesome. very good cheesecake.

Pear Pie III

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2007
This was a good pie. I wish it had tasted a little more peary but it was definitely good. I made it with frozen pears which made me worry about making the pie runny but it didn't. I think next time I will use very, very ripe pears and that might make a difference in increasing the pear taste. Overall, a good, using another fruit other than apple pie.

Chocolate Zucchini Cake III

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2007
So INCREDIBLE! I took it to a baby shower and got rave reviews. Nobody knew it had zucchini unless I told them. Super moist, dark chocolate cake. I made this with a caramel frosting which made it super yummy. Plus I added about an 1 cup extra of zucchini. Hands down, this was great! Will definitely use again(actually I've already made it twice).

Cream Cheese Pound Cake III

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2007
Ok. Took forever to bake and still parts were uncooked but if I hadn't taken it out, it would have been more dry than it already was. Good flavor, but I like pound cake dense and moist and it wasn't.

Peppermint Patty Brownies

Reviewed: May 20, 2007
I thought these were great. I guess I expected the peppermint patties to melt a little bit more but they seemed to remain as is in the pan. But all in all were good. No exploding patties for me as I did push them further down in the batter. I made them for my little bro for his b-day...they are in the mail. I'll see what he says. Great but not exceptional.

Rhubarb Crunch

Reviewed: May 20, 2007
I thought this was good, but like everyone else said the proportions are way off. I used 6 cups of rhubarb instead of three and that still wasn't enough in my books. Talking to my mother, she said that she always used twelve, which is what I'll do in the future. There was just not enough rhubarb. But the topping was good. Next time I'll add 12 cups of rhubarb and probably 1 and half the topping. If it wasn't for the wrong proportions I would have given it five stars.

Waffles I

Reviewed: May 17, 2007
These were great waffles if made as is. I made these twice, the first time as the recipe was and they were perfect. Second time changed oil to butter(as another reviewer had done)...not a great idea. Came out mushy and soggy. So stick to the recipe as is and they are fantastic plus really easy to make!

Almond Rhubarb Coffee Cake

Reviewed: May 11, 2007
Great Recipe! Here are my changes. I added about 4 cups of rhubarb, substituted applesauce for about half the oil, and baked it in cupcake tins. The 4 cups of rhubarb was perfect. I like the flavor of rhubarb and so I was able to taste it but it was NOT overpowering or too tart. I didn't change any sugar amount. I baked in cupcake tins for about 25 min. Turned out great. I definately recommend this recipe but just add more rhubarb. Making this recipe again this morning. Yummy!

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2007
These were good but not the best. I think it was too much flour and I like my cookies a little more gooey(spread out a little more). But other than that they were good.

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies II

This was AMAZING! Everyone was raving about them. They had a really good dark chocolate flavor. We used white chocolate chips, milk and semi-sweet plus some walnuts which made it super yummy. Definately a keeper! Plus we made this in mass(200 cookies) and it still turned out perfect.

very close to mall preztals...just a little to thick for me and i had to add about 1/2 c extra water just to make the dough workable. But still was an excellent recipe and will make it again.
