Delicious Ham and Potato Soup
I agree with the other reviewers that this is great. I have made it many times, and like some of the other reviewers found it was too salty. This chicken bouillion granules provide more than enough salt. I not only omited the salt, but also used unsalted butter. If I can find low-sodium bouillion I will use that to cut back even more.

Cranana Jam
Just a note about a recipe similar or the same as this one: The University of Alaska Extension Recipe Booklet for Wild Berries Recipes had this recipe, which was called Cranberry Banana Jam, and it was made with the local lingonberries (low-bush cranberries) that grow native to parts of Alaska. I think some of the problems noted in the review with big cranberries would be eliminated using the smaller berries, so it makes sense that at least a similar recipe came from Alaska. The first time I saw this recipe was when I moved there in 1970, and it was still in the last booklet I had when I left in 1998. I agree, it is a great recipe. btw, my signature gift was wild rose petal jelly, also made from the same booklet.

Olympic Gold Medal Cookies
Sometimes I am tempted to try other oatmeal cookie recipes, but I always return to this one. It is a favorite cookie of my daughter-in-law, and many other family members. I don't think this recipe can be improved, and I am always suspect of anyone who grades a recipe when they alter it! I have found the light raisins make the cookies superior. I have used dark raisins when I did not have light ones, the result is not the same outstanding cookie. I usually don't use the nuts -- due to family preferences -- but they are great either way. I am surprised this recipe doesn't have more reviews.
