World's Best Scones! From Scotland to the Savoy to the U.S.
Awesome! Love the variations using cinnamon chips or even herb & cheese. I even make this using half whole wheat flour and a couple of Tbl. flaxseed for added nutritional value. The best suggestion was to grate the frozen butter. (Even works with margarine!)

Pear Honey
Great tasting! Recipe adaptation courtesy of other cooks plus my own tweeking: Cook finely chopped pears in pineapple juice with 2 Tbl. lemon until soft. (Speed up process for those extra firm pears by microwaving cut pears in Ziploc Zip'nSteam bags before adding to pot.) Once pear/pineapple mixture is fully cooked & pears are soft, mix with hand blender until smooth. Add 4 1/2 c. sugar (or more) to hot mixture. Blend again. Continue cooking until mixture boils and reaches preferred texture. (Approx 20 min) Stir often to prevent scalding. Pour into prepared jars. This is a new favorite for our family. The texture and preparation reminds me of making homemade applesauce. Yum!
