About this Cook
My cooking tragedies
I taught myself how to cook with my moms old 1954 Betty Crocker cookbook. I started when I was 13. My poor dad has tasted everything, even the gross recipes. I made this lemon dessert once, and no one would touch it, but my dad ate it all up and said it was good.

Sweet Potato Pie IX
I made a half recipe and it tasted great. I have had better though. I dont approve of all this sugar and I think I should have added another egg.

Pie Crust III
wow Im impressed! I was searching for a recipe that didnt use shortening or lard as I had none. I came across this and glad I tried it. It tastes very good! So simple. I didnt roll it or use plastic wrap. I just balled it up then pressed it into the pan.

Onion Pan-Fried Pork Chops.
quick and easy is what these should be named. Very good, family loved it. Thanks for adding this simple recipe! These are the kind I love. I was a little nervous it would be salty but they were perfect. I used 1/2 a package of the onion soup mix on 3 tiny pork chops. I only used 2 T of olive oil.
