About this Cook
Currently in law school, but I still find time to bake and cook - especially sweet things to eat.
My favorite things to cook
Chocolate Chip cookies, cookies of all types, and mexican food (there is a shortage of good mexican food in central Virginia).
My favorite family cooking traditions
Hmm, my mom was a special occassion cook - she was terrible on the day to day stuff. But grandma was a great baker!
My cooking triumphs
I made something almost identical to See's Vanilla Fudge - ONCE! Can't get it out here, so you have to make it yourself.
My cooking tragedies
Vanilla Fudge every other time. It is hard stuff to make. Oooh, and the time the glass candy thermometer broke in a huge batch of perfect butterscotch kisses.

Four Cheese Macaroni
Kept the egg, doubled the cheese. This makes a HUGE amount. I halved it and it could have fed 5 at least.

Amy's Cilantro Cream Sauce
Really good - but the texture was a little strange.

Chicken-Fried Steak Strips
My first attempt at Chicken Fried Steak. I think it turned out really good. Used Cube Steak. Also, I think the recipe for the coating is plenty for a full pound of steak. I doubled it and had way too much.
