Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2009
yowzer! so good. I used 4 non frozen chicken breasts and 3/4 bottle of trader joe's bbq sauce along w/ 1/2 a packet of dry italian dressing ( I didn't have Italian dressing already made) a few dashes of worsthesire sauce and cooked on low for 4 hours then high for another 2 hours. Perfect amount of sauce. We ate it on a corn tortilla with sour cream...mmmm soo delicious

Good- I made a healthier version and used 1/2 cup applesauce and less than 1/4 cup of canola oil. Used 2 cups of whole wheat flour and 1/2 cup of oat bran. Also only used 1/2 cup of baking splenda. Would make again!

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2008
OMG so tasty. I gave it 4 stars because I tweaked the recipe a bit. I first melted only 1/4 stick of butter and threw in some fresh chopped garlic. I then added low fat cream cheese until melted. Added only about 1 1/4 cup of 2% milk then seasoned w/ salt, pepper, & a dash of nutmeg. Oh and I also put in about 1/4 cup of shredded aged parmesan cheese. Served it with pumpkin ravioli's. My hubby and I ate almost the whole thing ourselves!

I was craving Blondies after watching thrown down w/ bobby flay. I tried this recipe and it totally satisfied my craving mmm good! I used 3 types of chocolate and baked in a smaller pan so they were thicker. will make again! I omitted the nuts but i think next time i may add almonds. I also used softened butter not melted and my brownies were gooey and chewy! mmm

This was so Delish. I just had 2 slices! I used 3/4 cup buttermilk & frozen mixed berries. Made it in small loaf pans. Didn't change anything else. Excellent! 12/20/08 Update: I made this again. This time I used 1/2 cup of half and half and a small container of vanilla yogurt. It was so moist! I also cut the crumble mixture in 1/2 and sprinkled half in the batter and half on top

Mom's Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2007
Really good but I did make some changes to make it healthier. Used 1/2 whole wheat flour, added 1/4 cup of ground flaxseed. Also used 1/2 cup apple sauce and 1/2 canola oil. I also used a streusal top which prob made up for the lower fat applesauce I substitued. Topping recipe: 1/2 c. regular oats, 1/2 c. brown sugar, 1/4 c. flour, 1/4 t. cinnamon, 1/4 c. butter. I think it needs a bit more cinnamon as it was a little bland. But still very good! Esp w/ the topping.

Awesome Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2007
Delicious! I did however make some changes. Used 1/2 whole wheat and 1/2 white flour. I used only 3/4 cup of oil and 1/4 cup of apple sauce. Added about 1/2 tsp of nutmeg, 2 tsp cinnamon and a dash of cloves. I also only used 1 1/4 cup of sugar since the carrots I used were already really sweet. I added pecans and baked in 2 8' round pans. I made a delicious cake w/ cream cheese frosting. yum!

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies I

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2007
Soo good, although I made some changes :) First I used VERY good quality cocoa (from Williams & Sonoma), Decreased the flour by 1/8 cup, Used 1/2 cup white sugar and 1/2 cup brown sugar. Creamed the butter and sugar first then added eggs and vanilla. I then added about 1/2 cup of semi sweet chocolate chips and 1/2 cup of dark chocolate chips. I then baked the cookie at 325 for 9 minutes. It was like a decadent chocolate brownie in a cookie form!
