Relaxing at my sister's house.
About this Cook
I used to cook when I lived with my mom as a teenager. I am a recipe cooker. If I freestyle it usually doesn't turn out well. My hubby is the major cook but I LOVE to bake.
My favorite things to cook
Easy chicken curry as a main dish. Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies II from Allrecipes.com is my favorite dessert.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Dressing is cooked in the turkey.
My cooking triumphs
Any time I cook and the smoke alarm doesn't go off is a triumph.
My cooking tragedies
Like I said above. Any freestyle cooking I do by just trying to throw ingredients together turns out horrible.

Ninety Minute Cinnamon Rolls
OMG! This is now my favorite recipe at Allrecipes.com. This was sweet enough without the icing. This is a keeper. THANK YOU!

No-Fuss Rice Pudding
This was great to use up extra rice I had. I had a bit more rice so I adjusted the amounts. My husband liked it and my daughter thought it was great. I might presoak the raisins (or buy better ones) next time.

Easy Oatmeal Cookies
This was an ok recipe. Like another reviewer I thought these were more like a scone than a cookie. I tried various sizes and like it best when I used my mini muffin pan to bake them. They tasted good but I wanted a more traditional cookie. I omitted the nuts due to allergies.
