About this Cook
I started cooking when I was 14 and it's just always something I have loved. Nothing compares to a homemade dessert or meal.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook desserts more than anything(but I end up eating it too!!). I enjoy trying new and different recipes or altering old ones. I also like to challenge my self to cook a healthier version.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I try not to stick to anything traditionally, as I like to change things up whether it a Xmas meal or Easter...
My cooking triumphs
My first attempt at making Baklava was a huge hit that the same people I served it to are still talking about it a year later. My trifles are getting rave reviews as well.
My cooking tragedies
I've never had anything totally flop, but if I try to bake with no fat and all stevia(natural sugar) my teenage boys won't eat it!

Butter Bean Burgers
I used green pepper instead of jalepeno and bread crumbs too. I aded a little finely grated carrot as well. Let them chill for a few hours and they didn't stick together so well when frying.....oh well I suspected as much. The flavour was just alright.

Sweet Potato Casserole I
I was wanting a healthier version so I just didn't add the 1 cup of white sugar or the white flour. I enjoyed the orange zest and used some huge chinks of cocnut from the health food store.

Chicken Biryani
This was really good and yeah a little more work then I usually do for dinner. I added a little more of all spice and added marsala too. I added the spuds back with the chicken to cook them thru. Used ground cloves and no salt and used canned tomato, every thing else the same. The Authentic Biryani on this site is good too, by su. Would make again.
