About this Cook
I love to be in my kitchen. I enjoy trying all new types of recipes, especially any new dessert ideas. I like to search interesting recipes that I don't have in any of my cookbooks. I am a homemaker, work very part-time, take care of my family, and love my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
My favorite things to cook
cookies are my fav. all desserts and slow cooker meals, casseroles, potatoes and meat recipes. My husband is easy to cook for, so I am free to try a lot of new ideas.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I always prepare homemade chicken soup in one fashion, that all my family loves. Just noodles and broth, with chunks of chicken, and of course just the right spices. Another tradition is a nice pot roast with pototo chunks baked with the roast, and fresh slices of tomato as a side dish. Delicious!
My cooking triumphs
My chocolate chip cookies! I have tried a zillion recipes and now have a favourite that my daughter loves. she always requests that I bake them when there aren't any cookies she likes in the cupboard. My tuna casserole recipes also, and my stir-fry shrimp which I just made for the first time recently.
My cooking tragedies
hmmmmm..... made cupcakes one time and they fell apart in pieces. that's it.

Soft Onion Sandwich Rolls
Wonderful! I used 21/2 tsp. yeast, and did not put the topping on before baking. I did brush the buns with butter after they came out of the oven. Soft and tasty and the bottoms have a little crunch to them. Delicious!

Sweet 'n' Sour Meatballs
I did not care for this sauce. The cookies are too overwhelming in taste and the sauce becomes way too thick after it heats. But, my husband said he liked it and our little chipooh ate a few!(dog)May try it one more time without the cookies and maybe add some soy sauce or honey garlic sauce.

Applesauce Bread
So moist and the spices really help to compliment this loaf of sweet bread.I had some applesauce to use up and made this tasty bread and also the applesauce bbq sauce recipe on this site. Thanks for a unique recipe!
