About this Cook
I am married to a wonderful husband and we have three beautiful children.
My favorite things to cook
Spaghetti is my favorite food but I like to cook the dinners I know the family likes and won't give me a hard time about eating.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Spaghetti Soup (pasta & tomato juice), Homemade Noodles at holiday time, Homemade buttercream icing & soda crackers, Baking
My cooking triumphs
When my hubby told me my chicken adobo was right on. Getting my daughter to like bell peppers. When the hubby told me my take on his mom's potato salad was on!
My cooking tragedies
Now this was like....years and years and years ago. I was making spaghetti sauce and added pepper....too much pepper. I looked at it, I knew it, but instead of spooning it out, I mixed it in. My hubby ate a plate of it...he was so sweet, he didn't want to hurt my feelings. I tried to fix it with butter but it just didn't happen.

Blueberry Muffins I
Awesome! I've made these three times so far. First time, I went ahead and did the 1 cup sugar and 1 cup blueberries like several others suggested. They were good but that was a lot of blueberries in a single muffin. They didn't last through the evening so they were still well liked. So the second time I made them as the recipe states, 1/2 cup sugar and 1/2 blueberries. These didn't make it through the evening either. Only one complaint, from my daughter, not enough blueberries. Go figure. This third time I did a rough estimate of 3/4 cup of sugar and 3/4 cup of blueberries. That seems to be just the right amount for us. Next time, mini muffins! And I want to try substituting chocolate chips for the blueberries as one person suggested.

I can't believe I've never thought of doing this before! This was so delish! The whole family loved it. We ate with mashed potatoes and over some drop biscuits. I'm telling everyone about this recipe. Oh soooo good! I seasoned my ground beef with garlic and onion powder but that's a normal thing for me. It doesn't need it.

Drop Biscuits and Gravy
OMG! Wow! So easy and soooo yummy! The hubby and even my kids liked these biscuits. I haven't made the gravy, just the biscuits. They were so awesome. I'll be making these again for sure! I may add garlic powder and some cheddar cheese next time just for kicks but they are awesome as is.
