Beer Butt Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2007
absolutely delicious! You can get the beer holders @ walmart for $3. I think I'm going to buy one b/c the can fell over near the end of cooking (and of course the chicken went w/ it). Still turned out great.

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2007
I absolutely love this. It's so yummy. Like everyone else, I mix the brown sugar and ketchup together. I also add just a splash of worcester sauce and some garlic. Instead of onions in the meatloaf, I add an envelope of onion soup mix.

No-Fry Spicy Potato Skins

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2007
I made these for New Year's Eve. Then 3 days later had some from Bennegan's. These are MUCH better. Thank you! I added shredded cheese and crumbled crispy bacon. Also added green onion and served w/ ranch dressing to dip in.

It wasn't horrible, but no one liked it much. I won't make it again. I guess we just aren't used to coconut milk.

Daddy's Fried Corn and Onions

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2006
HEAVEN! My corn hating husband loved this. My 3 year old & 7 year old daughters had seconds. This was easy and wonderful. I made it w/ thawed corn on the cob that needed to be used up. Next week I'll be making it to go with our turkey day dinner.

Sloppy Joes II

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2006
OMG, this was THE best sloppy joe I've ever had. we were fighting over this one. I used red peppers b/c I didn't have green. I don't think it affected the taste. toasted hamburger buns, spread w/ a thin layer of mayo (miracle whip would be too sweet), added cheese and had baked fries and carrot sticks on the side. So good!

White Barbeque Sauce

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2006
OMG. I will never make grilled chicken w/o it again. Once it's cooked, you can't taste the vinegar and it's so delicious. SO WONDERFUL. It keeps the chicken moist and tender - even the white meat!!!! The skin gets crispy and you can't help but to eat it.

Stuffed Flounder

I made this last week. None of the family liked it. The texture of the crab wasn't good - too soft and mushy. Also didn't like the flavor.

Beefy Cheese Dip

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2006
I'm not a big velveeta fan at all, but I made this for my son's bday party today. It was a last minute decision - I made it in 15 min from start to pouring it in the crock. fast, easy and EVERYONE loved it. Esp the kids. I used Jimmy Dean hot sausage and 1 lb of ground beef. I didn't have green onions but no one seemed to notice nor care. thank you.

Honey Mustard Dressing II

I don't, as a rule, like honey mustard. But I got some chicken crispers from chilis and they didn't add sauce. So I made this. OMG. IT'S SOOOO GOOD!!!! Do *not* make this unless you want a new addiction. It's absolutely yummy. Thanks so much for the recipe!

Spicy Garlic Lime Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2006
I followed another poster's advice and I made a paste w/ onion, jalapeno, garlic, a few tbsp chicken bouillon and the seasonings it called for. I added it all to the blender and pureed. I rubbed it in and under the drumsticks, sprinkled w/ a little more salt and broiled 5 min to brown. Then I let bake for 20 min. I brushed on the sauce (in which I had put 1 T. honey, lime juice, garlic and butter) and let bake for 20 more min. it was very good, but even w/ the jalapeno, it wasn't very spicy. Even the 3 year old liked it. Making the paste ensured that no picky children saw any onions or peppers to turn their nose up to.

Frosted Grapes

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2006
My husband and 3 year old are literally fighting over who gets more of these, lol. So easy to make too - just rinse grapes, put in a plastic ziploc bag, pour in the jello, and shake. pour into a colander to remove excess jello and you're done.
