This is the recipe I have used for years and have become famous for! Except....mine calls for 1/3 cup of bourbon and 2 eggs and you mash it all together and then bake it. Little kids don't care for the bourbon taste but everybody else does! I am excited to try slicing the potatoes this year, this is one of the dishes I look forward to every year!

every time I make this it is a huge hit. The only change I make is I use 4-5 fresh tomatilo's instead of the salsa and process it all until fine. I serve it with chicken, steak and my kids love it with chicken nuggets! this version is less hot than the original = group friendly!

I made it exactly as called for. Too much cheese, it kind of made the dish seem slimy and fatty. (and we love cheese)
