This was absolutely fantastic! Modification-wise: I took Tara1972's advice and added the "1 tsp cinnamon, 1/2 tsp nutmeg, 1 tbs vanilla". I also used a pre-made frozen crust because I was under time contrain, but it worked out fantastically. For topping I found the " Crumb Topping for Pies" (can be found on this site) to use instead of the traditional crosshatching. The result couldn't have been better! Was absolutely delicious and beautiful as well. Definitely take the advice of others and put a baking sheet underneath the crust. In all, fantastic recipe, will definitely make it again soon.
